Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what your rights are. The app is operated by Phonder Technologies Ltd. Contact: nathanbrooks882@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your questionnaire answers: sex, date of birth, height, weight, goal weight, activity level, pace, dietary preferences, meal times and how you heard about us.
- Photos of meals you chose to take or pick from your library, meal descriptions you wrote, and the nutrition breakdown calculated for them.
- Weigh-ins you entered in weight tracking.
- An anonymous user ID created automatically. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number to use the app.
- Your subscription status from Apple. To enforce the daily scan limit, we also keep a usage counter under a one-way hash of the subscription identifier, without account details or meal contents. We don't see or store payment details.
- Basic usage data: which screens were viewed and which actions were taken in the app, to improve the product. This data is linked to the anonymous ID only.
- Session recordings (only with your explicit permission, which you can turn off anytime in Profile): a record of screens, transitions and taps while you use the app, to find bugs and confusing spots. All text and images are hidden in the recording before it leaves your device, as are the scanning camera and the weight and calorie charts. Recordings don't include calorie values, weight, meal contents or photos.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, errors and technical performance metrics, to fix bugs.
How we use it
- To calculate your personal calorie and macro targets.
- To recognize the food in a photo and estimate its calories.
- To send reminders at the times you chose, if you allowed notifications.
We don't sell personal information and don't use it for targeted advertising.
Service providers
- Supabase: stores your account, data and photos.
- Vercel: hosts the app's server.
- Anthropic: the AI provider that analyzes your meal photo or description. Information is sent only after you agreed to it in the app, and only for the analysis. To find the exact values of a packaged product, it may search the web for the product name or its barcode number, with no personal information.
- Open Food Facts: an open product database. When a barcode is photographed, only the barcode number is sent to it.
- Apple: subscription purchase and management.
- PostHog: analysis of usage data and session recordings. Data is stored on servers in the European Union.
- Sentry: crash and error reports. Data is stored on servers in the European Union.
Retention and deletion
Information is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account and all your information at any time from the app: Profile, then Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. You can also ask for deletion by emailing support, and it will be done within 30 days.
Usage data, session recordings and error reports are kept by PostHog and Sentry under the anonymous ID only, and are deleted automatically within one year at most.
Security
Access to data is restricted so that each user can reach only their own information. Photos are kept in private storage.
Children
The app is intended for ages 13 and up.
